Here
are some flowers I found north of the house this afternoon. This is a
coneflower, otherwise known as a black-eyed Susan. |

This
has to be a Deptford pink, although I didn't know it grew like this and
I didn't know it was in any of the mixtures I planted. It is a very
small flower (about ½ inch across). |

And a
spider I found on the deck railing in front of my bedroom. It was still
alive, but frankly, it doesn't look very healthy. This kind of spider is
very common around here. |
