      Over the
weekend of 9/27 - 9/28, we had sustained winds from the north of over
20  mph. This is the view looking east from Pebble Beach around
        2:30 on Sunday afternoon. |

      Here are
the waves breaking on the rocks on the west end of Pebble Beach. You can
see that the lake is pretty choppy - the waves were probably around 4' -
6', as best I could guess. The temperature was 45º, and with the strong
north winds, the wind chill was about 38º - it was cold! |

      On my way
to and from the beach, I noticed that all the rain had produced a nice
crop of mushrooms along my driveway. Here's one. |

      Here's
another - and it has a baby. I suspect they're all poisonous. |
